Silverholme wedding – weddings at Silverholme Manor in the Lake District are always very special and often unique as couples have the opportunity to put their own stamp on their wedding day at this stunning private house. Harry & Katie’s wedding day was … one such occasion, a day very much with their personal stamp on. Good wedding photography is of course about capturing those moments through great images but it’s also about telling the story of the day – something that is more subtle for a photographer to achieve and something that often comes through experience. I do hope that, even if you’re viewing these images and you weren’t there, you can get a feel for what a warm, loving and fun wedding it truly was.
This blog has been tricky to put together, whittling down from a substantial number of final images to ‘show the story’ has not been easy – the reason so many were taken is credit to Harry & Katie particularly who were both so natural in front of the camera, meaning I could just ‘click, click, click’ … The house and surrounding grounds at Silverholme are a gift for a photographer – rain or shine! – providing both varied and beautiful backdrops.
Thank you Harry, Katie, family and friends for making myself and Rho so welcome on your special day and to you both, we wish you congratulations and every happiness.
p.s. special thanks also go to Alexandra at Silverholme – always making sure that her venue is just perfect for one-and-all – and also to Oscar and his just brilliant catering team, Campbell & Rowley who I have to say never let us go hungry!
