2015Storrs Hall, Windermere Wedding Photography: Well, strictly speaking this wasn’t a ‘wedding photography’ gig but a celebration of the wedding of Bobby & Nadia in Thailand last month and a celebration it truly was! At the outset, I was told that the photography …… wasn’t about them but more about their family & friends; a time for them to congratulate & celebrate and also, with Bobby & Nadia living abroad, a chance to meet up those that haven’t been seen for a time. The problem for me – if it can be called a problem! – is that the venue, Storrs Hall in Windermere, is in my mind just about as good as it gets for a venue to photograph at in the Lakes (or anywhere for that matter) and all I wanted to do initially was take the couple away and get my creative juices flowing in and around the grounds and hall itself. But, ‘they’ve been there, done that’ already! So today was about capturing the joy and fun of the day and hope you agree that my small selection here reflects the day – I did manage to snook a picture of Nadia though, with that Lake Windermere backdrop, a simple composition and set up but a stunning result. It was a day of celebration and fun from start to finish and one myself and Rho (let alone your guests!) will remember for a long time to come. Thank you Bobby & Nadia for allowing me to capture your day.
